No talk of gyroscopes/accelerators etc for gaming? Seems like the ideal target for this as it adds a huge amount to gameplay to be able to turn your head to look around in a FPS type game, plus gamers are the sorts who would spring for something like this, hell plenty of them are buying 3 consoles and games for each aren't they?

Seriously, you only need one screen with a path to each eye, one of which is blocked by an LCD screen at any one time. Cost and weight reduced straight away.

Also there's no need for the light path to be straight. Have the screen against the forehead facing out, and a mirror to bounce the picture to each eye. Necessary depth pretty much halved. Doesn't just have to be a single bounce either; could make the apparent depth reasonably long to reduce eye strain.

Given the hurdles they must already have overcome I'm not sure why they haven't gone the extra mile to make this a product people will actually want to buy.

I hope Sony have remembered to include a microphone somewhere for the gamers.
