Anyone who has ever tried using one of these things knows that it doesn't feel like watching a 750in TV ... it feels like watching a 14in TV held 2in away from your face.

No 1080p is a HUGE no no no! Specially when 4K is everywhere!

I bought the HMX-T1 when it 1st came out and I sent it back the next day, I was promised my very own large screen, it was like looking at a 46 inch television from the very back row of a large cinema, on top of which I could actually still make out every single pixel as the movie was playing.
The concept is good, but if I am going to buy the next generation, the HMX-T3, I have to believe that I am going to be sitting right on the front row of that very large cinema, otherwise what's the point of having the product, I would much rather sit in front of a 65 inch Full HD television viewing my 3D Blu-Ray movies with my passive glasses on.

I'm confused about the price complaint -- how much do you think a good 3D HDTV + headphones should cost? Now miniaturize them. Its actually quite reasonable in context.

Reasonable? £1300 for two 0.7 inch screens? I could get a 60+ inch TV for that price. And that'd be a 1080p one too.

I love the idea of this product, but it is pricey.

Yeah that's what puts me off too. What were they thinking?

This product is MADE IN JAPAN (verified this) so manufacturing cost is obviously going to be higher than if they outsourced it to China.

Hi Mikfrak,
Ok after writing what you wrote earlier about it, in your opinion, is it worth the 1000 USD price-tag and a great experience?

Hi,

1080p and 4000p is not an option with a wireless connection with today's technology without too much frame loss per second.

Wireless will only allow around 780i and that is pushing it... Else performance loss with 2014 technology. Let's wait a few years and see if we can get 1080+ res on wireless headsets.

Ok, so did you try this one out yet, Ken?

this is the only way to be able to feel like you're watching a movie at the backseat of a cinema. I've tried one
