Hey, you say it is nice and light. It would be without the batteries!!

The RX1 will most likely prove to be a fine tool for serious photography. And its high price, you bet, will be elating a lot of "enthusiasts", who haven't been missing a 35 mm prime lens so far, but are becoming aware of needing it urgently now. This compact camera is surely unique at this time, the pricing is nevertheless questionable (compared to a Nikon D800E, for instance). Sony seems to be struggling for becoming a most respected player in nowadays photography as Hasselblad, Carl Zeiss or Leica have been in former decades. High prices come along with it, don't they?

Contrary to the information in the first paragraph, the RX1 is NOT an interchangeable lens camera. This is an amazing engineering achievment by Sony, but not even Sony could create a full-frame ILC this small. For those who complain about the price, the cost of this camera with its excellent fixed Zeiss lens is commensurate with the price of one of these lenses--it's like getting the body for free.
