One of the best new features in my opinion is the auto completing of formulas. When you start typing in a formula a list appears which narrows down the more you type. Also shows you the formatting of the formula which is very helpful. Makes it very easy for newbies and for formulas you don't use often.

What exactly does 'In Association With Microsoft' mean? Did they pay for this advertising feature?

It's not an "advertising feature" or it would have been clearly labeled as such. This is an independent piece of editorial content which Microsoft has chosen to advertise around / sponsor.

Office 2007 Home and Student has 3 licences for about £80 so we use it on 2 family PC's and my laptop - excellent value. Took a long while to get used to the ribbon and I still think the old way was best! The context sensitive (RMB) mini menu is excellent though and re-dresses the balance.
To me, Excel 2007's conditional formatting is brilliant. I have a couple of spreadsheets where I want things flagging in red depending on circumstances and only the 2007 version can do that.

I practically live in Excel at work all day. Wish they'd pony up for 2007 but still stuck with 2000. They just don't understand the benefits.
