@Helmore - of a sort yes, but it's a wider roll-out beyond Wave that I think it believes Twitter's technology can help with. After all, if it added no benefit I doubt the two would be in talks.

@Simon - because it wouldn't be a sale, it would be a licensing deal and an extremely good revenue earner for a company with no viable business model as yet ;)

It wasn't that long ago that there were rumours of Microsoft or Apple or some other big computing power looking into buying Twitter. It was dismissed by the web at the time because Twitter didn't actually have any profitability... Not the case now, then?

It's not like they don't have the resources.

Hasn't Google indirectly shown their own concept and use of real time search in Google Wave, just look through the video over here: http://wave.google.com/help/wave/about.html#video It's at around 41:40 minutes.
