This really isn't surprising at all...
Apple has announced that Google CEO Dr. Eric Schmidt is resigning from the Apple Board of Directors, a position he has held since August 2006.

"Eric has been an excellent Board member for Apple, investing his valuable time, talent, passion and wisdom to help make Apple successful," said Apple uber-guru Steve Jobs. "Unfortunately, as Google enters more of Apple's core businesses, with Android and now Chrome OS, Eric's effectiveness as an Apple Board member will be significantly diminished, since he will have to recuse himself from even larger portions of our meetings due to potential conflicts of interest. Therefore, we have mutually decided that now is the right time for Eric to resign his position on Apple's Board."
In fact Steve actually missed out that Google recently dismissed app stores, currently one of Apple's biggest successes of recent years. So yes, all-in-all it isn't really surprising. Whether the move severs the close ties between the two companies in a real world sense: iPhone Google Maps, YouTube and Google Search integration remains to be seen. The two probably won't go on holding hands forever but I can't see anything disrupting this mutually beneficial arrangement in the near future...

Multi-touch on Android please.
And don't say 'HTC Hero', that's an HTC special and it doesn't use multi-touch to its full potential.

@Andy H
I've seen a few postings where people have bought both Macbooks and iMacs for Windows usage.
