Trivia: have always been able to view stereoscopic 3D images (and video) almost instantly by crossing my eyes.
Video hurts after a while though...
And personally I don't see 3D "home" video catching on for quite a while.

Aargh, it's like those stupid 3D pictures from a few years ago again - I could never get those to work either.

Bah, no Magenta/Green option. I got some of those glasses from 'My Bloody Valentine 3D' blu-ray. 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth' and 'Polar Express' use those glasses actually and 'Coraline' DVD/BR will as well. That's got to be more common than amber/blue!
