Adobe Bringing GPU & Hardware Acceleration to Flash Comments

Looking forward to GPU acceleration of Flash. Especially since I've started using BBC's iPlayer. My Mac mini can handle iPlayer HD video at a quarter size, but at fullscreen it struggles. Here's hoping it can use its Nvidia 9400M GPU, once this acceleration has been implemented by Adobe.

And ATi GPU based systems ?.....

Finally!! Some flash content is just ridiculously CPU-intensive nowadays.

I wonder whether Microsoft is going to do the same with Silverlight?

Now all we need is someone to add a feature to automatically block sites that are all flash.
