All the talk may be of Windows 7 and Office 14 but Microsoft is still paying attention to its less loved offspring...

Microsoft Office 2007 is the focus of its warmth this month (a love it/hate it version I'd take over Vista any day of the week and twice on, well... any day of the week) with its second service pack now announced for this month.

In the world's longest sentence, a representative for the software giant confirmed: "Service Pack 2 for the 2007 Office System will be made available in April. Service Pack 2 includes some significant work, including: built-in ability to save as ODF and PDF formats, improvements to Outlook's performance and calendar reliability, significant bug fixes for charts in core Office applications, the ability for client service packs to be removed using an uninstall tool, and a host of customer-requested improvements to the Office Server products." *Gasp + Pant & Heave*

"It is also a rollup of all fixes that have previously been released for Office 2007 products," the company added with the aid of respirators and adrenaline shots.

In related news Office 2007 successor Office 14 has now been officially named 'Office 2010' rather giving away its target release date. Office 2010 will be the first 64bit compatible edition of suite when it does eventually come up for air...

...which is probably sooner than that Microsoft rep.
