Today sees a preview (read: late beta) of the ubiquitous 'Opera Mini 4.2' hit the web for virtually all handsets capable of running Java (read: pretty much everything).
Changes this time around are pretty good too with the mini mighty browser now skinnable allowing it to be customised, plus improved support for mobile video services including YouTube. Also rather noteworthy (please excuse this pre-pun) is an upgrade to Opera Link which lets users share their notes (yes, delayed groan) between mobile phones and PCs, this joins the already present and rather useful bookmark and web history cross platform sync.
"The number of people using Opera Mini worldwide proves that there is a true revolution going on: people want to access all their favorite Web sites on the mobile phone they have today", said Opera CEO Jon von Tetzchner. "We constantly focus on developing a faster and more personal browsing experience. Opera Mini 4.2 beta is an update that takes mobile Web browsing to the next level."

Just finished a couple of days of use, and it seems to be pretty stable.
The themes are limited to just 5 colour templates at teh moment, but its a nice touch.
