Just got these and during the first use I noticed a tremendous amount of cable noise. Cable brushing against clothing or the desk drives a huge amount of sound into the headset. Is this normal or is my set defective? I am ready to return these tomorrow!

Did you try turning off mic boost in control panel? It picks up sound well enough without, too much with.

Yeah, it seems robust and then the fake leather on the headphones starts coming off after a year or two and they look like this: (see picture attached)

The ear pads are replaceable but I do find even genuine ones which I purchased directly from SENNHEISER are no where near as good as the originals how they sit even after being worn in they leak sound and isolate no where near as good.

This could be solved by selling REAL leather that hold up and for the price point you kinda do expect it.

Till they do I won't be buying SENNHEISER anymore. Perhaps if very cheap (such as new heavily discounted after years) because they just do not last. This is my 2nd set of the PC 350's as I got them discounted and they just fall apart and the replacements being so sub par to the originals and expensive make them an awful investment.

I'm sorry all you guys didn't like your 350's. Had nothing good to say. My 350's are the best sound reproducing headsets I've ever come across. I work at a mixing sound board and can pick out each individual instrument playing. Don't know how oz kept having problems with the ear pads, unless he is someone who likes to appear dramatic when he takes it off. I haven't had any problems with mine, but I put my hands on each side of the headset and gently pull out and they come right off without a struggle. I think Piriya answered John's complaint. Some keep saying fake leather, mine feel as good as leather and I don't sweat the way a lot of leather headsets cause you to do.
I tried many different sets before I found my 350's and none had the sound quality nor long term use comfort of the 350. The complainers must work for other makers of different headsets and could only find the ' ear covers were terrible to complain about. For the money, these are the best you can get and I really don't think higher priced ones can beat the sound quality and most are not as good at separating the different sounds!
