I have said it before about such "smart" tvs, but will repeat it again.Until it integrates my Sky box as a source, then all this Smart TV content-aggregation is rather wasted on me as it is totally misses out my main source of TV viewing.(not that this is Samsung's fault. It as as much or even more so Sky's)
How does this TV compare with Samsung's plasma PS64F8500?
I can't speak for the UK but in France my Orange (adsl supplied) tv service is integrated into the SMART hub as an app. So, I do not need a separate box.
I have had this TV since 17 Dec 2013, last night it developed a fault in the picture, a thin green line running top to bottom about 10.5 " in from the right hand edge. I disconnected all the peripheral eqpt, no change , ran the self diagnostic test , failed 1 & 2 & passed the 3rd one. Message popped up to contact Samsung Centre with the model & serial & software V. Which I did after confirming this with John Lewis Home. They offered a eng to call, I declined & under their 28 day rule John Lewis Home is replacing it & giving me £200 refund as the price is now lower. V disappointed in the fault but the refund took the sting out of it. Has anyone else had this fault?
