If I had this system, I would be just as interested to know if I can just chuck an Audio CD in it (I know old-school) without needing the TV on - or if I can control music via my Smart Phone? These are just as important as BluRay in terms of daily-use. Is it the sort of thing that you have on all the time with your TV? I find my Panasonic flatscreen has very poor audio.

Also, this costs £750 today - half the quoted price. Given the headline mentions price, it might be worth updating.

I own a Samsung f9000 4k tv so I am interested to kno is this system actually 4k ready and therefore released for the 4k televisions or does it only upscale b-rays to make them look like 4k viewing???? If so....a lot of money, I have a Samsung b-ray 3d surround sound system that last year only cost me £400 of which my tv upscale to an extent, I wouldnt pay another £1000 if it's only gonna do the same, can anyone answer me this question as I am only interested in this system if it's the full 4k deal...or is it just another inbetweener!!

Yes, you can just chuck an audio cd in it and it'll play automatically. Otherwise, if you've gone digital, it has many many ways in which you can play music through it. You could link Dropbox to it and play from there, using DLNA from your phone or computer (and control it using your phone too) and even iPads are supported.
Hope this helps :)

I'm using a DLNA share on a NAS (Synology) to see movies. I would like to know how can I see the cover for each movie.
I have also a Samsung TV (UE40C6710), and, and on this TV I have for each movie a JPG file (with same file name eg: Movie1.avi - Movie1.jpg). When I browse my DNLA share, I have the cover + the movie name.
I would have same functionnality on this home cinema.

Many thanks for your answer/suggestions.

What anoys me greatly is that it isn't show which HDMI ports it uses. Is it HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 1.4a which is limited to 30 fps? If it is the latter, then it is completely uniteresting.

Yes, using the AUX out from your TV and connecting the other end of the cable to the AUX IN of the system.

I have had my HT-F9750W home theater for 14 Months when it stopped working, it is now useless, the screen now scrolls the word "PROTECTION" and turns itself off. I have put this unit into a reputable Samsung Repairer and after looking at it for nearly 3 Months they cannot find out what the problem is to fix it. 18/4/15

Hi JACK. Try hard reset. On stand by mode, press stop button until the unit powers on automatically. Then release the button. Hopefully, your unit will be fully reset.
