Think you missed RAM and internal memory of the spec sheet (768MB and 4GB respectively, apparently).

I've been looking for an upgrade to my Orange San Fran (ZTE Blade) as it's a bit slow but want something equally small and light with at least the same resolution. It's 600MHz ARM CPU and 512MB RAM are looking pretty long in the tooth now.

Will the dual-core 800MHz CPU (Snapdragon?) and a little extra RAM in this make much difference?

You say pricing could be more competitive but I was looking at the HTC Desire C costs more and has less RAM (512MB), a slower CPU (600MHz) and lower res screen, the latter being a show stopper for me.

What phones did you have in mind when you said this could be more competitively priced?

We're about to review the ZTE Grand X, which costs £189.99. Still some testing to be done but it's looking very promising. The full write-up will be on the site next week.

The dual-core processor and extra RAM in the Ace 2 does make a pretty significant difference, yes. It's a pity it runs Gingerbread w/TouchWiz, though, as that seems to slow things down a little.

I have just received my Samsung Ace 2 and having had it out of the box to set it up It will returned never to taken it out again! This phone is trash the button which alters the ring sound is just where you hold the phone and is so sensative that it continually flashes up on the screen. The calendar is pants dots so small they are hard to see. Who want video phone at preium rate not I for one. Top this with poor build quality and I'm done! This phone is not for me.

The Samsung galaxy ace 2 is the worst phone i have ever owned. I used to have a second hand flip phone that worked better. It freezes non stop and i can barely text cause it freezes so much. I get non stop alerts about games that need updates and i don't even have the game. Its been like this from day one and three people i know have the exact problems. Last time i ever get samsung. Bg mistake of a phone is you ask me.
