That bottom image is from Dead Rising 3 not Ryse.

You don't think that's one of Emperor Vespasian's helicopter cohorts?

I looked at the footage of Ryse, and it was far from smooth.. it was running at 30 fps with frequent dips. An awful lot of things need polishing with this one.

Sadly you're right, I was at least expecting 1080p and 60 fps on these next gen games.

Lol yes it could well be part of his armored unit.

Are you not entertained??! Get to the choppa!

Apparently the demos at E3 were running on Windows 7 PCs. Nothing extraordinary about that, of course, but just an indication that it's early days yet.

That's fixed now, thank you.

Yes I also heard that elsewhere.

You are right Andy plenty of time left for some fine tuning. So hopefully we will get 1080p and 60 hz in the final games. I know that Forza 5 was confirmed to be running at that res and speed anyway.

Some demos were, but Ryse was 100% running on XBone hardware, as was Forza 5 (which looked AMAZING, to be fair).

Crytek have actually said that the target for Ryse is 30fps, so all that can be hoped for is a smoothing out of the more obvious drops.

Doesn't surprise me RE: Crytek. If ever there was a studio that prioritised eye-candy over smoothness, it is it.

Is this going to be released on steam?

I am really enjoying this game technically it is very impressive. The game play did need more depth however the combat is fun and will take time and skill to truly master.

For a launch game 'I am entertained'.

Any comments on frame-rate & quality of the visuals - e.g. is it running nice and smooth now that it's been optimised for the shipping version of the Xbox One?

Matthew Bunton

Yes very smooth no frame rate drops at all.

Since when is gruesome a con?
Did you guys run out of cons to add to the list? This game wasn't very gruesome at all considering I've seen worse in other games. Besides would I want to play a Gladiator style game without gore? Seriously...if that was your only other con to come up with this game should have gotten an 8 then since that is NOT a game flaw.

I would say this game is as deep as any GoW game that has come out. Pound away on the attack button wait for prompt for QT kill. I'd say this game is on par with what it needs to be. Simple, effective fun.

Played the game myself as opposed to watching demos online and can tell you all it runs smooth and looks great. Very fun game

So, what kind of "depth" are you looking for? Would anyone say a game like Uncharted or Last of Us has depth? You play the game once, beat it, it's over. Where is the "depth". Define "depth" please? I say for an action game that lasts approx 10-12 hours it has "depth". You have TONS of hidden items to collect, multiple difficulties and an online co-op challenge. That to me constitues as "depth".

Hello, all comments from 4 year ago... The game is really cheap now, around 10 bucks. Anyone can give me reasons to buy it? Why so many trash talking? I think it is a pretty good game in deed.
