If you live in the UK and frequently find yourself having to use the creaky old rail network, Trainline Tickets is an app that you’ll definitely want to install on your phone. It’s primarily designed to allow you to quickly purchase tickets via your phone, but really we’ve always found that it’s most useful for actually looking up train times instead.
It’s much faster than trying to do the same job via the web as the clean and quick interface makes entering station names a breeze. Of course, if you want to actually use it to purchase tickets that’s pretty straightforward too. However, it’s a shame only a limited number of routes allow you to use M-tickets – mobile tickets that you store on your phone. For other routes, you’ll have to actually pick up your tickets at the station.

This is a great app to have on your phone for when you need to quickly look up train times.
