Four new playable characters have been revealed for the upcoming fighting game Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, including the eternally popular Spider-Man. We’re in peak geek season as Comic-Con International plays host to major announcements in the world of comic books, so it’s no surprise that we’ve glimpsed more content from Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Samsung has finally confirmed a dedicated press event for what is almost certainly going to be the launch of the Galaxy Note 8. In a long-awaited announcement, Samsung revealed that it would be hosting a Galaxy Unpacked press conference on August 23 in the USA. The event will take place at Park Avenue Armoury in New York City, with proceedings kicking off at 11am EST (4pm BST). This means Samsung won’t be announcing the next Galaxy Note phone at Berlin’s September IFA 2017 technology tradeshow, as was previously expected. In an invitation sent to press, Samsung wrote: “On August 23, Samsung Electronics will reveal the latest member of the Galaxy family with the ultimate multitasking device for those who want to do bigger things with their phone.” It continued: “This highly anticipated addition to the Galaxy roster was specifically designed for people who move through barriers to do more of what matters to them.” Samsung doesn’t explicitly state that this event will showcase the Galaxy Note 8, but it seems very likely. For a start, Samsung’s late-summer Unpacked events always host a Galaxy Note phone launch. Also, Samsung has described the new handset as “the ultimate multitasking device”, which is how we’d expect to see…
