Users of Android phones would be forgiven for feeling a little left out in the dock department, with manufacturers catering largely for iPhone users.
The manufacturer was showing the love with a series of Fidelio docks at IFA, one of which is the AS351. With the a launch price of 129 Euros, the mid-size dock features a unique connector which can connect virtually any Android phone using the Fidelio app which allows audio transfer over Bluetooth. This gets around the fact that audio can’t be delivered via micro USB.
It also allows you to charge a second mobile device via USB and features Dynamic Bass Boost which Philips claims produces decent low tones and quiet volume levels.
The AS351 runs on both battery or AC power and incorporates shielding to block out mobile phone interference.
Other models in the range include the large AS851 and a smaller AS111.
With sound quality of the high standard we have come to expect from Philips of late, we think the new range of docks will become a quick hit with Android-running audiofiles when released in the UK in Q3.
