I've been using mine for about a month now and no sign of the battery dying so far. I have never used the keypad on a standard kbd, so haven't even used the separate number pad unit. The one issue I have is that the Func or Fn key is needed to use End and Home keys. Since I do a lot of document editing, I rely on those keys a lot. They're a little tougher to use compared to a more traditional kbd layout. I've been looking for a Microsoft utility to customize the keyboard, but nothing found as yet.

@sbgilson: have you figured out how to do a print screen on that keyboard? We just got one for one of our users, but she noticed there's no print screen button and she has need of that function.

You could also use this to type long documents on PDAs (if your laptop runs out of power before that urgent deadline...)
