Very interested about the edgeblur surface but your links only connected me to the US site which doesn't do international delivery. Can you post the UK web site?

It's US only at this moment bakh but it offers shipping internationally. Contact them to find out the latest charges: http://www.edgeblur.com/general_pages/contact1.html

Interesting article, why are no laptops still produced with full sized keyboards and trackballs if the low profile ones and trackpads aren't suitible for all-day work?

You're right about the article missing something about backup options, but in all honesty, that's a whole feature by itself. One that I plan on publishing in the not too distant future in fact :)

Regarding the issue of portable HDD's, I still like Buffalo's little 500GB MiniStation solution, which I think comes with an integrated USB cable. People willing to spare more juice may be interested in LaCie's 1TB contribution (I think it's FW-powered though) - certainly caught my eye on the news section.

Interesting article, but a surprising ommission regarding back-up options. Mobile computers can be lost or broken(dropped) and any mobile user runs the risk of disaster if they do not have data regularly backed-up. Hope this is a helpful comment. I use a Western Digital passport 160 gb back up option. Highly portable running off an USB2 port.
