We all know that Nintendo is selling Wiis by the boat shipping tanker load, but in our experience, many of those consoles sit relatively unused once the initial novelty value of Wii Sports has word off. Other than playing Okami Wii (why wouldn't you?) you might consider turning your Wii into a reasonable under-TV-PC. And while using the rather serviceable Opera browser or BBC iPlayer you'll probably appreciate using a keyboard, like Logitech's 'official' Wii model.

As you'd probably expect, the keyboard is wireless, connecting with 2.4GHz wireless via a dongle. As well as a full contingent of QWERTY keys the board also sports dedicated buttons for buttons like OK, Back and zooming.

It's not just browsing the internet a keyboard is useful for either. Interaction-based games, such as Animal Crossing (admittedly no there until November) will clearly be much easier with the ability to type, rather than try and Wiimote your conversations.

It should be pointed out that Logitech's Wii keyboard isn't the only model that will work with the console and many other manufacturers USB offerings will also work. They will lack the dedicated buttons though.

The keyboard should launch next month, in the States at least, where it will cost $50 (~£25) which is pretty reasonable if you ask us.
