50m webcams, some companies would be happy with sales figures like that, not Logitech...

On the same day it hit this landmark figure the company showed it isn't happy to settle by revealing two more webcams on the back of an exclusive deal with Carl Zeiss, bringing one of the world's leading optics companies to the sector for the first time.
The 'QuickCam Pro 9000' and 'QuickCam Pro For Notebooks' therefore include Carl Zeiss' Tessar lenses and feature hefty 2MP sensors with three second auto-refocus times. Video recording is also elevated to a new high managing 960 x 720 at 30 frames per second, that's 720p HD capable for the uninitiated. As with Logitech's previous models in the last few years the Pro 9000 and Pro For Notebooks also offer interoperability with Skype, Microsoft Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger and virtually any other IM software available.
The high end pair will focus customer attention from July with matching £69.99 RRPs. So that's 50m down, and I suspect many more to go...
