If you talk to any pervert web cam enthusiast what feature has been missing most from their devices they will undoubtedly say force feedback VGA video at 30 frames per second. So Creative is about to make them very (Mr) happy indeed.

The 'Live! Cam Optia AF' is the name of the device that will get towels warming everywhere. It packs a superb true two megapixel (1,600 x 1,200) CMOS sensor with autofocus (the oomph behind the VGA, 30fps goodness) and dual microphones with Live! Audio technology to improve groan speech quality without background noise.
Light exposure, colour balance and frame rates can all be handled automatically while 'Smart Face Tracking' follows the user's mug to keep it centred in the video (but is that the part they want?). It can also be swivelled horizontally up to 270 degrees with forward/backward tilt though the mind boggles as to how this will be exploited. Perhaps disappointingly for some, if rotated backwards the cam will instinctively flip the image to the correct orientation.
All the usual Creative video and voice effects are there along with remote monitoring, image adjustments and image archiving.
Expect the Live Cam Optia AF in April for approximately £80. We're sure diehards will be prepared to lube up their wallets for such an experience...
