For this, our first PC group test we asked for a well rounded PC for under £1,200 that should appeal to a wide range of computer users in the home environment.
The criteria was to supply a system that wouldn’t need upgrading in the foreseeable future and offer something a little bit out of the ordinary.
The minimum specification was left fairly open but the following applied:

Minimum 2.5GHz or equivalent speed rating CPU
Minimum 512MB of memory
Minimum 120GB Hard Disk
DVD/CD-RW drive
Minimum 128MB DX9 compatible graphics card
Minimum 17in TFT monitor
Sound and speakers

With such an open playing field we expected to get some extraordinary systems in for review. And we must say that we where pleasantly surprised to find the some of the systems came complete with TV capability as well as video editing suites.

So if you’re looking for a new PC that will suit your needs now and in the future, and don’t want to break the back, read on and find out who’s the best.
