If Dell isn't careful it's going to end up without a single dull grey box in its entire consumer product line-up. The Inspiron 545 and 546 mid-towers and 545s slim-tower bring Studio styling to the Inspiron desktop range as well as a spec bump over the Inspiron 530 series of PCs.

A veritable plethora of configuration options are available, with either Intel Core 2 Duo and Quad processors on offer, along with up to 8GB of RAM and either 1TB or 750GB of capacity on the mid- and slim-towers respectively.

Either Intel integrated or dedicated 256MB AMD ATI Radeon HD 3450 graphics can be specified. The mid-tower PCs have the option of a Blu-ray drive, too.

The ranges are set to arrive in 'spring' whenever that means and will start from a quite acceptable-sounding £279 for the most basic configuration. If you want to have a gander at the systems now, you can do so over at Dell's Chinese site - just don't ask me to translate.
