The beginning to the end for Apple.

It may be true that the "industry" is moving away from trade shows, but in my eyes Apples business model is very far from the norm. Must of their public relations is based in an extreme hype, that they admittedly are very good not to disappoint. However this hype often spreads to the main stream media which must be the channel must peoplpe learn about Apple products through. Without all these public appearances by Mr Jobs himself, I believe much of the magical aura surrounding Apple at their products will disappear. But it will be interesting to see if their unique business model can be sustained.

...or they might just keep making products like the ipod and iphone and continue making a killing...

I second you Jesper! The Apple PR events are annual highlights helping the year progress - this would be a very very bad mistake..

We don't care who does the keynotes, we just want the keynotes to stay.

Maybe the sales of black turtle necks and blue jeans will slowly decrease...
