Certainly, HP's forthcoming 'mini' netbooks are interesting, but the newly revealed mini-Q, as spotted by Slashgear, is more so. I say that because the mini-Q isn't just an updated version of an already-released machine but is, in fact, a dual-core Atom sporting nettop, which makes it very interesting indeed.

In fact, there are two systems on offer, the mini-Q 2030 and the mini-Q 2020, the former packing that dual-core Atom 330, Windows Vista and 2GB of RAM and the latter a comparatively paltry single-core Atom 230, Windows XP and 1GB of RAM. Both offer four USB ports, VGA video out and DVD recorders.

There's no word on when, or even whether, the systems will be available outside Taiwan. HP isn't usually a company to restrict so interesting a product to just one region, though. At NT$12,900 (~£250) and NT$9,900 (~£200) for the mini-Q 2030 and mini-Q 2020 respectively, the systems definitely have a certain allure to them.
