The first Evesham Mini PC was pretty good if not mindblowing but now it seems to have cracked it.

Announced today, the second gen ‘Mini PC’ makes a much trendier job of things with a brushed aluminium exterior and uber compact dimensions of just 50 x 165 x 165mm.

There are brains behind this beauty too with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 (2GHz, 4MB cache) processor, 1GB of DDR2 533MHz RAM and a 100GB 5,400RPM SATA hard drive. As you’d expect on a ‘puter so living room friendly, the Mini PC comes with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 pre-installed and multimedia capabilities are high with a built in digital TV tuner, remote control and S-Video, FireWire, two USB2.0, DVI and the usual array of audio connections including SPDIF. Graphics are of the integrated variety but you can’t have your cake and eat it too… you’d get fat.

At £799 including VAT the Mini PC certainly targets richer blood than your average Mac mini user but you’re getting a lot more under the hood as well. Now if it just ran Tiger too…
