Voodoo Media Centre In Right "Aria"

Media Centre PCs come in many shapes and sizes and the latest spin created by Voodoo looks like being a most welcome addition.

Called Aria, it comes with a beautiful, integrated touch screen colour LCD and unique DVD archival system, allowing users to simply drop DVDs on the hard drive and store media indefinitely. Unusually, it also features AMD Turion 64 mobile technology normally seen in notebooks, but by using this low power processor, Voodoo claims to have made the machine near silent in use.

Backing these innovative features up are specs including a capacious 250GB HDD, 1GB of screaming fast Corsair XMS memory, optional nVidia GeForce 7800GTX graphics card, dual TV Tuners, onboard eight channel audio and – of course – Windows Media Centre 2005.

A good selection of ports is provided with four back and two front mounted USB2.0 connections, two RJ45 LAN jacks, FireWire and Voodoo aluminium card reader, while data can be backed up on the dual layer DVD writer.

Being a Voodoo machine, the Aria is also available in a wide variety of spicy colours, of which red is the classic. Also being a Voodoo machine means this user configurable beauty doesn’t come cheap, with prices starting from 2,691 euros (£1,820). Have a little fun with the extras though, and you can easily push it to the three grand mark and beyond.
