You will probably have as much fun flying the Blade mQX RTF, which only costs £110, than this. If you really want more then you need to up your spend to for something like a DJI Phantom with GPS and add a GoPro for your video needs.

I have an ar drone 2 and to date I've spent well over £150 upgrading it these upgrades are firstly ceramic bearings for the prop shafts, strengthened prop shafts, lighter stronger gears and pinions, lighter stronger props, bigger stronger c clips (these secure the props too the prop shaft), a swivel bracket for the front facing cam, a top mount for my gopro cam, extended landing legs, upgraded battery pack, outdoor/indoor all in one prop and gear protectors, original tool kit and for a bit of fun a remote control LED kit these things take some time to find as there are many ppl selling very cheap bits of kit passing it off as top end gear my bit of advice the first product you need to buy is a packet of gear protectors as you will find due to the bad design of the drone that after your first crash with the outdoor hull the first thing that will get damaged is the gears there is no protection and parrot know this and should have really built in the protection or at the very least provided a set of protectors. Before you invest your money in one of these drones read other ppls posts in the many forums btw you can convert the drone very easily too radio control and still use your ios or android device too watch what the drone is recording through it's cameras this also makes it much much much more stable also the drone does have the option of GPS. I hope this clears up some questions you might have please feel free to ask me any.

The dji phantom 2 quadcopter is one hell of a title but then this is one hell of a machine, note machine NOT toy. It is, however, a machine with built-in fun. My experience is somewhat limited but I belong to a small group and what I am learning from them is amazing. I have... Read More

Are you kidding me. Biggest POS on the market, not to mention OVERPRICED. THis company deserves nothing more than to go right out of business, and with the quickness. Please - STOP BUYING THESE THINGS. Take a stand against shoddy engineering, people. Please.

very cool toy until you realize the actual flying experience, without fail, becomes frustrating quickly because of poor laggy connection. It really irks me honestly, that such a brilliant toy can be rendered useless and frustrating, because parrot decided to only make half of a flying experience and sell it as a whole.
