I wish that I could agree with the review. My TX-L39E6B has very poor sound, especially if the automatic sound adjusting mechanism is activated. I often have to adjust it so I ordered a Panasonic sound system ( £230+) to go with the television in the hope that it would improve things. That was 7 weeks ago and I am still waiting.

It has a browser that will not access most web site pages due to severe limitations in the browser app. When I phoned Panasonic uk, they said that this was what their customers wanted. The remote is unusable in smart mode (I had to buy a keyboard) and if I turn the mains off for any reason it forgets its Internet connection details and has to be set up again. Picture is usually fine. The home screen feature is a waste of time, and the apps on sale are of little use to me, but may be to others. The only useful feature is that it can play back items on a USB chip, and can also access my home network to play my record collections.

I have had Panasonic equipment prior to this, but never again.

I like very much this Panasonic but take care about your first phrase (39 inch is definitely a first)
From far as I know there are at least 2 models older than this Panasonic.I think there are from 2012.

Philips 39PFL3807

Samsung 39EH5003 -

But this Panasonic is absolutely awesome, also is a Smart TV

And you can't even set reminders via the EPG. A glaring omission really when all other brands do this with ease.

cons: input lag? no 3d? im console gamer for many years and i own this model 42 inch* for bout 3 month's, soo ive been looking for not expensive tv with low input lag, i dont need netflix lovefilm or hbo go,generally i dont use smart functiions everyday, just weather app and some news app, average input lag is 30 ms, on leo bodnar is 40/45 ms, my e6e got on leo 25 ms input lag, the only cons of this tv is very poor sound, image is perfect, esthetics of tv is also perfect, soo if ur'e looking for hdtv for gaming i couldnt recommend any better tv for this price. 9'5 out of 10
