Would you chose Benq W1070 over Optoma HD25? Is HD25 really that loud - louder then W1070? I've a problem to make decision - W1070 has really short Throw to setup in my room, while HD25 has perfect Throw ratio for me. Optoma HD25 is 150 euro more expensive than W1070, but it comes with glasses. Rainbow effect is present in both models (probably because they have same DLP chip). Is Throw ratio worth to decide Optoma HD25 over Benq W1070 for you? Thanks

demoed both this and the benq w1070 and believe me the fan was on the moment you switch on the benq & it stayed there for a while even in smart eco mode which was strange, now purchased the optoma hd25 and i can safely says its near silent in operation thourghout its use looks great 3d tomb-raider is drop dead stunning using nvidia 3dplay software(720p 60hz ( you will need to play with colour settings for film stuff but thats any pj usually then it looks stunning out of box like my prev hd20lv did ) the only i noticed not working really noticably was the dynamic black mode .. maybe a updated firmware is the key here...

[off] [up] [down] [menu] button (either when in a flim or standby) gives you the secret service menu good to check if firmware is same as this review,ie not great. We need new firmware optoma!! stupid egg timers and sync issues not to mention purple vesa3d colour problems i hate having to put vesa3d mode back on after every start!
