With the imminent release of Doom3, every game player on the planet will have to beg, borrow and steal enough cash for a new graphics card. But here at TrustedReviews we’re committed to keeping the crime rate down, and feel that it’s only right to offer one of our lucky readers the chance to win a brand new state of the art graphics card - thus, saving them from the perils of a life of crime in order to satisfy their habit.

So, we got together with our friends at nVidia and prised a GeForce 6800 card out of their hands, in an effort to make one reader very happy indeed. Now, even if you happen to have the cash to buy yourself a GeForce 6800, it won’t be like this one. The card we’re giving away is an nVidia reference board rather than a retail product, so this really is a “money can’t buy” kind of deal.

Anyone who has been keeping an eye on the current graphics race will know that the GeForce 6800 is nVidia’s latest enthusiast level graphics solution. This little beauty features 12 pixel pipelines and a core GPU speed of 325MHz. The memory is clocked at 350MHz, giving an effective DDR speed of 700MHz. Add to this a full feature set, including Pixel Shader 3.0 support, and you’ve got a heavy duty resident for your AGP slot.

With this sort of firepower at your disposal, you should be able to last at least a few minutes when the minions of Hell descend in Doom3. And hey, even if you’re not a Doom fan (if such a person exists), you’ll still be able to play all the latest games no matter what the genre.

Great as the GeForce 6800 is, we decided to try to beat a bit more out of nVidia. Consequently, there will be an nVidia goodie bag to go along with the card, featuring some top games and assorted nVidia branded paraphernalia. An absolute must for the PC gaming memorabilia collector.

So, if you want to win this nVidia mega-bundle, simply answer the question below before the 27th August 2004, and keep your fingers crossed.

This competition is closed.

Entry is open to any and all, worldwide. Entry requires site registration, and is limited to one entry per user. The competition is not open to employees of TrustedReviews Ltd and nVidia or their families.
