Week In Reviews: 17/07/2010

If you're as busy as anyone on the TrustedReviews team you'll find it pretty hard to keep track of all the reviews we publish each week. As such, here's a little summary of what you may have missed.

Review of the Week | Microsoft Xbox 360 250GB

"Put simply, the Xbox 360 250GB is the best Xbox Microsoft has made thus far. It’s better featured, with more USB ports and built-in wireless, its more energy efficient internals mean it's quieter and less power-hungry than its predecessors and, perhaps most importantly, it's priced more aggressively against the PlayStation 3 Slim than ever before." - 9/10 - Recommended Award

Samsung Wave | Touchscreen Mobile Phone

"In the Wave, Samsung has given Bada an impressive debut. It's a very well built, elegant handset, that's packed with all the latest features." - 8/10

Panasonic HDC-SD60 | Budget HD Camcorder

"Panasonic appears to have finally cracked the lower end of the high definition market. The HDC-SD60 and its siblings don't offer quite the gobsmacking value of Samsung's HMX-R10, but the prices of these models are still extremely good, and their performance and features are far superior." - 9/10 Recommended Award

Dell 1135n | Mono Laser Multi-Function Printer

"The 1135n is a neat, quick little multi-function machine, but like several of Dell’s other machines, is a rebadged Samsung machine. Comparing it with the Samsung SCX-4623F, the Dell works out around £55 more to buy and 1.1p per page more to run." - 7/10

ViewSonic VMP74 | Full HD Network Media Player

"Sleek and stylish both inside and out, the compact ViewSonic VMP74 Full HD Network Media Player is versatile in its features, format support and connectivity, and generally performs well." - 8/10

Sony Bravia KDL-40HX803 | LED TV

"Looked at as a 2D TV - which is actually what it is in its 'out of the box' state - the 40HX803 is pretty excellent, producing arguably the best pictures we’ve seen from an edge LED TV to date." - 8/10

Fujifilm FinePix Z700 EXR | Compact Camera

"The FinePix Z700 EXR combines Fuji's technically advanced sensor technology with a stylish design, a well-implemented touch-screen interface, decent performance, a good range of features and superior build quality to produce a great pocket compact that is fun to use and produces excellent results, although the poor low-light focusing is a disadvantage. The surprisingly low price makes it excellent value for money." - 9/10 - Recommended Award

Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 1GB Fermi | Mid-range Graphics Card

"After the disaster that was the GTX 480 and GTX 470 launch, you'd be forgiven for thinking Nvidia was going to be left high and dry for this 1st round of DirectX 11 graphics cards. However, the company has gone away, done its homework, and comeback with a seriously compelling mid-range graphics card in the shape of the GTX 460." - 8/10 - Recommended Award

Vodafone 845 | Budget Android Phone

"The 845 is certainly not an unappealing handset. It’s priced very competitively, looks quite stylish for a budget smartphone and comes with a reasonably recent version of Android." - 6/10

Toshiba BDX2100 | Budget Blu-ray Player

"Picture quality is impressive, backed up by an unusually wide range of image tweaks, plus disc loading is fast, the new operating system looks great and the USB port is a welcome addition. " - 7/10

Orbitsound T12 v2 | Stereo Soundbar

"The Orbitsound T12 v2 soundbar produces an almost eerily immersive stereo output that's truly a pleasure to listen to. While we have a few niggling criticisms, they're not with the system's performance." - 8/10

Fujifilm FinePix Z70 | Budget Compact Camera

"Considering its low price the Fujifilm FinePix Z70 offers good build quality, ease of use and plenty of style, along with acceptable picture and video quality and some useful and unusual features for online photo and movie sharing." - 7/10

Panasonic Viera TX-P42S20 | Budget Plasma TV

"If your TV budget can only stretch to £600, then the P42S20 is a tantalising option - especially if you’re going to be in a position to feed it quite a bit of HD fodder." - 8/10

Acer Aspire Ethos 8943G | Multimedia Laptop

"It has the features and no shortage of design flair, but the Acer Aspire Ethos 8943G is ultimately a bittersweet affair. It might make a better case for itself in cheaper configurations, but there are still fundamental issues to iron out." - 7/10

"Offering a choice of overclocked processors, top graphics cards and various motherboards, we have a new small gaming system performance king from Cryo in the form of the Pico." - 8/10

Dell Streak | 5-inch Smartphone & Tablet

"There's a great deal to like about the Dell Streak, particularly if you're looking for a device that serves many purposes at once. It's certainly the best phone for in-car navigation around, and its size gives it an edge for web browsing and portable media." - 8/10
