After spending an exhaustive - and actually quite exhausting - two days getting down and dirty with all five of the main online TV platforms available today, Sony has come out on top, completely turning round its rather pitiful 2009 online showing.

Everyone bar LG deserves an honourable mention for their efforts too, though - especially Philips, with its unique open Internet access. So let’s just hope this new side of TV life continues to grow exponentially without becoming so dominated by brand exclusive deals that we consumers end up finding our favourite online channels being spread willy-nilly across a whole range of different brand’s products...
