Leadtek is releasing two 8600 GTS cards at launch of which we have the standard version today. There is also an overclocked version, dubbed the WinFast PX8600 GTS TDH Extreme that has its core running at 710MHz and memory running at 1,050MHz (effectively 2,100MHz). As with the MSI card, Leadtek's card uses a standard cooler with just a sticker to distinguish it from the competition.
Rather than the anti-static bag and foam technique employed by MSI, Leadtek have used a padded envelope and cardboard inserts to protect the card in transit. Both work equally well and should keep your hardware safe.
Inside the box you'll find a quick installation guide that is non-card specific as well as a General Guide which tells you about how to setup SLI and use Leadtek's included software. On the software front, you get two games - Serious Sam II and Joint Strike Force, a driver/manual disc, and a bonus software disc. The bonus software consists of PowereDVD 7, Orb (MyCast software), and, Adobe reader. This isn't the most mind blowing selection of software, I'm sure you'll agree, but this card is cheaper than the MSI so if you don't care about what software you get, you can save a few pennies (well pounds actually). Continuing the slightly budget theme, the selection of connectors is also reduced with just one DVI to VGA adapter, a video-out dongle, a two-molex to six-pin power adapter and no S-Video cable.
Leadtek also offer a standard two year return-to-base warranty with all its graphics cards.
