Netflix reveals new trailer for Daredevil season 2

Netflix has released a sneak peek of the second season of its hit show Daredevil.

A trailer recapping the events of the first season was screened this past weekend at New York Comic Con and has now been officially released online following a series of leaks.

The dark tone which set the first season apart from other Marvel releases looks to be continuing as Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdoch is heard discussing guilt with a priest over an ominous soundtrack.

The introduction of iconic Marvel characters The Punisher and Elektra will have fans anxious to start streaming the new season when it is finally released next year.

The Walking Dead’s Jon Bernthal will be appearing as The Punisher, a vigilante intent on cleaning up Hell’s Kitchen, with Elodie Yung taking on the role of Elektra.

Series regulars Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson are set to return and the trailer also contains a brief glimpse of Rosario Dawson reprising her role as Claire Temple.

The trailer comes as Netflix prepares to release the first season of Jessica Jones, another Marvel brand set in the same universe as Daredevil, on November 20.
