The latest keyboard trend seems to be to go smaller, sleeker and better looking. However, many of these new fancy keyboards seem to have missed out a key point of what you use a keyboard for – typing. In order to use a keyboard comfortably for a long period of time, you need good key travel and keys that are sized and weighted well. This isn’t always the case with these new slim and sleek keyboards.

There are of course times when typing isn’t the be all and end all for a keyboard, like when you’re playing games. This is also when all these dinky keyboards come into their own, since they’re easier to carry with you when you go to a LAN Party or just over to your mate’s house. Some of the keyboards on test even light up, making it easier for you to create a gaming atmosphere with the lights down.

Here we’ve rounded up four keyboards that are clearly more concerned with looking good and staying slim, than with ergonomics or functionality. If it’s more important to you for your PC to look good, than it is for it to be user friendly, you’ll find something here to suit your taste.
