Bluetake BT510 VS Logitech V400

Talking of the battery, the V400 uses a single AA battery, which means that you can get a replacement pretty much anywhere in the world, ideal for a laptop mouse. Logitech has also fitted an LED to the rear of the mouse that lights up in green or red to tell you when it’s time to change the battery.

The mouse itself is as ergonomic as it can be for a half sized mouse, with rubber coated sides to improve the grip. It’s got two main buttons, a tilting scroll wheel that also can be clicked as a third button, as well as a forward and backwards button for web browsers. That's quite a lot of functionality squeezed into such a small mouse. Also worth a mention is the larger than average glide pads at the bottom of the mouse. which make it easier to move the mouse around on most surfaces.

You get a set of basic installation instructions in the box as well as a driver CD which adds extra functionality through Logitech’s SetPoint software. At £29.92 the price is also right.

Verdict

Of the two on test here, the Logitech V400 is the one to go for. It’s definitely not all-terrain, but it is the better mouse of the two.
