Evernote

iTunes link: Evernote – Free

Evernote is undoubtedly one of the first applications that any iPhone user should download for their phone. It allows you to take notes as text, photos and voice memos and then uploads them automatically to an online repository that you can access securely from any computer.

One of the app’s best features is that when you take notes as photos it uses OCR to capture text in the image so you can search through them later – handy for capturing business cards or written notes taken during meetings. The free version lets you upload 40MB of data per month, but the premium version increases this limit to a generous 500MB for $5 a month or a yearly fee of $45.

Verdict

Evernote’s clever approach to note-taking makes it a must-have for iPhone users.
