Are you one of those people who compulsively checks facts on Wikipedia when you’re watching random shows on telly or having an argument with your mate down the pub over some piece of sports trivia? If so, then Wikidroid is for you.

Essentially, this app takes pages from Wikipedia and reformats them so they fit better on your handset’s screen. This in turns makes them much easier to navigate on your phone. It also has a few extra features such as support for voice search, bookmarks and cutting and pasting of text.

There’s an advert-free version available, too, for a couple of dollars that gives you the ability to save articles to an SD card.

Wikidroid is arguably the best and most stable Wikipedia application on the Android market place right now.
