Yeah, number one rule with gaming laptops is that you don't ever use it without a wall connection. I don't think this will change in the near future. But who knows with fuel cells and more power efficient electronic components, things can only get better I guess.

Question - how quiet is this thing on lowest settings? I have a Clevo D900K that sounds like a hovercraft in a windtunnel, which isn't ideal if you're just surfing on the sofa (with other people in the room!). There was a gaming laptop recently which had a 'silent' switch to basically clock it down so low that the fans stayed off - I'd love to see gaming laptops adopt this widely.
