We've seen manufacturers try to marry technology and fashion before, to with varying degrees of success (I'm looking at you, Motorola MotoJewel) and now Sony is trying its hand at it with the CS11 series of notebooks. Exactly what do you get from "explore[ing] the space where technology and fashion intersect" then?

Specs wise details are just a little thin on the ground right now, although a quick snoop at Sony's Japanese product pages indicated that the systems pack 14.1in screens with 1,280 x 800, 2.26GHz Intel P8400 CPUs, and 160GB hard drives. We do also know that the flagship VGN-CS11Z/R will sport a Blu-ray drive, indicating that HDMI is on the agenda.
However, as Sony is positioning the CS11 series as very much a lifestyle product, rather than a serious tool, the performance figures aren't as important. Of more relevance to such users will be the touch sensitive media control bar just above the keyboard and range of colours - I particularly like the pink!
No pricing information is available as yet (what else can one expect from Sony?), but given the mainstream orientation of the CS11 series, we can but hope for mainstream level prices.
