While I consider myself something of an audiophile (and Riyad will confirm as much) I've never been a fan of hip hop - but that could be about to change...

Entering our good books this week is hip hop music producer 'Just Blaze' who has delighted the gadget world by inadvertently blabbing the news we've all been waiting to hear: Apple is readying a brand new notebook.

The record mogul has been convinced to perform at MacWorld in January and to sweeten the deal he says he has been offered a "free notebook to be announced at the MacWorld San Francisco expo" - cheers Justin.

Unfortunately no further info was forthcoming from the fast-yet-loose-lipped star but with the ultra-portable hole in Apple's MacBook portfolio screaming out like, well, a hole in one's portfolio it seems highly unlikely this is just another product refresh.

So all-in-all this is the most appealing noise I've heard from a hip hop artist's vocal cords in quite some time and while it sounds like we'll have to put up with numerous references to 'biatches', 'hoes' and 'money' interspersing Steve Jobs' speech, the announcements themselves already look to be well worth it...
