As a chest freezer, the Norfrost will not hold a whole family's shopping, but this was never its purpose. At a diminutive 85cm tall (roughly waist height) and 36cm wide, it is an ideal freezer for a small home with a small amount of food to freeze, or for use as an overflow freezer for a larger home. As it is so narrow, it can fit into the tightest of spaces, but being a chest freezer, it can still accommodate taller items that would not fit in an upright freezer of a similar size. For smaller items, a basket sits on the top of the chest, seated on the rim of the freezer.
The freezer is four star rated, so it can keep food for up to a year, and has a Fast Freeze function to quickly cool unfrozen foods, keeping them fresher for longer. This freezer does require manual defrosting from time to time, but being so small, it will not take long. With the highest possible energy efficiency rating of 'A', the Norfrost is inexpensive to run, and remains quiet whilst turned on, at a low 42db.
As it is so compact, the C2AEW is obviously not very spacious. Having a capacity of only 57 litres, this freezer will not even hold half an average shopping trolley's worth of frozen goods. The small width of the freezer means that boxed items like pizzas may have to be propped on their side to fit, which could become awkward over time. However, if you are in the market for a compact freezer, the Norfrost is priced very reasonably, and you will be hard pressed to find a freezer that can fit in as many places as the C2AEW.
