Professional footballers rabbit away about needing consistency in a referee's decisions, which is what we amateur photographers want from kit reviews. that makes this a doubly-good review, since it is every bit as well-balanced as the review I just read on Fuji's S2500HD. It would take some exceptional qualities on other points for the overall score on a camera to exceed the Image Quality score by more than one point.

(I won't spoil things by mentioning the awful English...)

I don't want to spoil things either but it would a real shame not to point that the P100 apparently has a feature I've not seen before-

"the P100 also has backside illumination".

Are you going to show the test photos for that?

I'm a fickle soul, but the name 'coolpix' has always put me off Nikon's consumer cams! Sounds like a toy.
