BT provide some pretty pricey fibre backhaul for Voda in the UK, so at least it's not a complete loss.
That said, I still can't see these speeds competing with fixed line if coverage, latency and reliability don't dramatically improve. What's the point of 'mobile' broadband at 21Mbit if it all goes to hell because you crossed your legs?
Sympathies to Rob. It's not the speed I care about, it's the extortionate data caps that rule out mobile broadband as a viable option. I'd take a slow connection if it meant unlimited usage any day.
