Aren't phones now sort of taking over from these anyway?
I mean I know the quality would be higher than some phones, but since most people will simply be uploading to YouTube/Facebook, I don't thing they'd be too bothered.
And anyone wanting to do more serious filming would have a more serious camcorder.
@HK - which cannot shoot stills, is low quality and placed in the wrong position ;)
@drdark - ish, though not HD recording specifically - so far only a few handsets can do that. Furthermore, like MP3 players there will always be a market for dedicated devices.
@Gordon: I already countered the HD argument in my original post :P.
MP3 players still have more of a market due to their pocketability (ugh, made up words...), but I just can't see these Flip devices(and similar) gaining more market-share. I was only slightly more mystified when I saw the announcement of the PocketSurfer3...
sorry, without an emoticon I didn't realise you was being sarcastic - there are SO many Apple-fans around who will buy an iPod/iPhone over any technology, no matter how limited it is that I naturally presume that anyone who posts pro-Apple type comments is another of them...
I'm a fan of non-Apple products, so I have an Archos video player, a BlackBerry phone, Windows PC and avoid the "style over functionality" that certain manufacturers try to force on consumers.
