Seems stupid to me. Sometimes I only have one earbud in while listening to audio podcasts or if I'm walking in the street.. because it's a good idea to be able to hear traffic! Or for safety if I'm driving I only have one bud in (my car car stereo is broken). What's I'm listening to and what I want to do with my buds is none of my phone/mp3 player's business. It's hardly difficult to press a pause button.
Several times a day this product will be sure to piss of it's owner.
This seems to me to be an application looking for a home. Does anyone find it *that* difficult to hit buttons at the right time. I can imagine the novelty wearing off fairly quickly...
I don't think I will ever spend money on these since I don't believe they'll "change" the way I listen to music. Pressing a button to take a phone call is far easier than first removing both earphones and then popping one back in again.
However, I absolutely loved the music. Does anyone know what it is?
That ad was horrific, if that is a masters degree in art we have no hope. The tune sucked seriously if you listen to that on your daily chores something is wrong.
Such a lot of cynics! I agree that for "normal" listening this may be a little superfluous - but there are situations where this sort of technology could be useful. For example when I'm skiing, my access to my device is limited - and I can't press the buttons with my gloves on anyway. Similar story when I'm running.
I can also see this coming with a training mode - so you could customise you gestures. Not saying I'm sold yet, but I quite like the idea in principle.
Gosh! This will be so much easier and more convenient than pressing a button.
Who DOESN'T dream of a day when the tyranny of easy to use and discreet controll methods is finally overthrown by just pulling out and plugging in various things into various orifices?
I heard that if you want to mute your music you just stick one of the 'phones up your *censored*
Oh the cynic luddites here... Pulling out a headphone when talking to people (something I always do when paying for groceries) is far more convenient than removing the phone. It just makes sense. Sony needs to engineer this on their none-phone Walkmans as well.
