Had the Live update for a while now and while it's nice (particularly Last.fm) it definitely needs some work. Most of all, I can't believe that none of it can run in the background. I don't want to just listen to Last.fm. I want my tunes to be on while I'm playing MW2. Also with Twitter and Facebook, I don't want to go into the specific apps, I want notifications to pop up while I'm in the middle of a game. Messenger already does this so it can't be too hard. Until they work this out for me it's of limited use.
I signed up for beta testing too and agree with Ravmania that it definatly needs some work (facebook app). A lot of people on the xbox testing forums agree as well so hopefully Microsoft will make a note of that :)
LastFM is good as well but i think you can only listen for free when using your xbox. I checked out last.fm website and noticed that i only had x amount of songs left that i could play etc...still it's free on xbox so can complain on that too much ;)
The zune player is good..very good streaming on the previews but i could not tell the difference other than it being branded "Zune" compared to Video market place on xbox dashboard. Zune's not intergrated either and as films are duplicated in marketplace..why would you load up the zune app??
all in all..a good update but I would have prefered an iplayer app or atleast be able to use it on xbox via Mediaplayer :)
The best thing about the Facebook app is having my photos on my tv. I know I can do this anyway by plugging a memory stick into the side of the telly but its just better on the xbox.
It would be epic if one could click on the links to videos eg youtube that friends send.
out of interest is this a key feature for anyone? or is it something that tends to get skipped over like home seems to on the ps3. Doesnt appeal to me because of the way I use my console (and my disgust for FB lol) but wonder how others make use of it.
